Opioid Substitution Treatments: unclear

Currently methadone treatment clinics are operating in five cities: Algiers, Oran, Blida, Annaba and Tizi Ouzou. Unfortunately, we don’t have contact details of any of the clinics, and it is not clear if foreign travellers are accepted for continued treatment/dosing.

Importation of Methadone/Buprenorphine/Codeine/Morphine: possible

Travelers seeking to bring methadone, buprenorphine, codeine or morphine into Algeria for personal use must apply for an import license.
