Methadone Treatment: available

There are a number of methadone treatment centres in Thailand. Unfortunately, we can provide one contact only: Travellers needing continued methadone dosing in Thailand are advised to contact the Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai. The methadone treatment team will assist with arranging treatment in Chiang Mai and with finding prescribing clinics in other places in Thailand.

Buprenorphine/Morphine Treatment:  not available

Importation of methadone and other opioids :  possible

Buprenorphine
(Subutex, Suboxone): To our knowledge it is allowed to bring into Thailand 30 daily doses of buprenorphine, provided travellers carry with them a letter from their prescribing doctor/clinic.
