Travellers wishing to bring methadone into Sierra Leone for personal use as medication must apply for a special license at the Director of Drugs and Medical Supplies well in advance (several months) of the journey. The application should include the diagnosis for treatment, time in treatment, intended duration of stay, and the total quantity of
methadone to be imported (in kilogram!!!).
