Methadone Treatment: available

Methadone treatment is available in some major
cities. Unfortunately, we cannot provide up-to-date contact details of treatment
services (such details are welcome!).

Importation of Methadone and Other Opioids: possible

Up to three daily doses brought into Hungary:

Accompanying
letter from the prescribing doctor/clinic giving the patients’ personal data, the name of the medication
imported, the daily dose and the total quantity imported.

More than 3 daily doses:

Application for receiving an import permit (in
English) has
to be sent to the Office of Health Authorisation and Administrative Procedures,

Department of Narcotic Drugs Control (EEKH).
