Methadone Treatment: available (?)

The first
methadone treatment center in Albania has been opened in Tirana in August 2005 (click
HERE).
We are currently clarifying whether  the clinic accepts international
tourists for continued medication.

Buprenorphine Treatment:
not available

Importation of Methadone and Other Substitute Substances: possible

 Patients
are strongly advised to contact an Albanian embassy or consulate well in advance
of a planned journey.
