Methadone/Buprenorphine Treatment: not available

Importation of Methadone/Buprenorphine: possible

According to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Section 36, Art. III of Board Regulation No. 3) travellers intending to bring methadone, buprenorphine or other medically prescribed opioids into the Philippines have to carry with them the following documents:

a. Certification from the patient’s home prescriber clearly stating that the patient needs the medication and that it has been prescribed for personal use only. The certification must include the specific dates of arrival and departure from the Philippines.

b. Original copy of prescription issued by the duly licensed attending physician/doctor.
