Aruba: Travel Regulations for Methadone Patients

Aruba*

Continued treatment/dosing with/of opioids: no info available

Unfortunately, the competent authorities have not responded to our requests for information on treatment options.

Importation of opioids: possible

Patients intending to travel to Aruba with medically prescribed opioids must carry with them an import permit issued by the Inspector of Medicines of Aruba:
Travellers from Schengen signatory countries have to get a Schengen form filled out by their prescribing doctor, stamped and signed by the city health department competent for the area of their place of residence. Travellers from non-Schengen signatory countries have to get a medical certificate from their prescribing doctor. At least 10 working days before entering Aruba these documents (Schengen form or medical certificate) must be sent by email to the Inspection of Medicines of Aruba (contact details below). The email must include the dates of arrival and departure and the flight number or the name of the ship. The Inspector of Medicines will then check the documents and email an import permit.
